What is Homeopathy?

Homeopathy is the Law of Similars, a concept founded thousands of years ago and practiced throughout medical history.  However, it was Samuel Hahnemann, an 18th century German born physician who is solely responsible for the development of Homeopathy as a science as well as an art.

Having witnessed remarkable healing in his patients by a similar disease agent, Hahnemann dedicated the rest of his life to the development of Homeopathy.

Years ahead of his time, Hahnemann saw the influence of heredity on the human organism and the ways in which we are all susceptible to the effects of disease over generations.  Homeopathy not only relieves us of disease in the present, but also relieves us of the burden of what Hahnemann called Miasm, or the presidposition of an individual to a disease process, due to an inherited organic weakness.

What Can Homeopathy Do?

Homeopathy is useful in treating a wide range of disorders, both chronic and acute, on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level; such as, colds, fevers, bruises, stings and injuries to chronic maladies to epidemics and pandemics.

It is used successfully in helping people with emotional distress, such as anxiety, depression, grief, phobias and obsessive disorders.

It is used successfully in treating problems on the mental level, such as delusions in thinking,  confusion, diffculties in concentration, difficulties in learning and remembering.

We can see from our own life experience that we can fall ill from things of a vibratory (energetic) nature.  That is to say, from things like the shock of hearing bad news, from an insult, from anger, from a jealousy, from an unrequited love, from guilt or from disappointment.  These are examples of things that are making us ill from a vibratory energy that is not being handled well by our Vital Force.

Sometimes we will find ourselves instinctively seeking out something homeopathic without recognizing it as homeopathic (its likeness).  For example, when someone loses a loved one and attends a bereavement group, they are seeking people who have experienced similar suffering and from similar suffering (understanding) healing begins.

 In simple ways and in everday life, we can see this extraordinary principle in action, as Homeopathy is pervasive in all of nature, and nature is always seeking homeostasis (or balance).
